Swing dance night a great success

Last Sunday nights big band and swing dance night hosted by DGKollective proved to be a big hit with the swing dance scene in Cumbria as the event was well attended by both dancers and listeners. In fact the dance floor was never empty with dancers displaying their Lindy Hop skills and more.

DG Kollective were helped out on this occasion by Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduates, James Steele (on tenor I sax) and Richard Leonard (Trombone III) who had travelled down from Glasgow to be a part of the band for the night. Also in attendance was Alan Branston, leading trumpet player in the region.

The masonic hall in Carlisle set the scene with its sprung floor and bar.
